Essay

The dissertation is devoted to studying of structure and conceptual sphere of Heinrich Boll's thirteen literary works with the application of conceptualogical method. In the research has been investigated the evolution of the key concept "war" for the all works of writer. With the purpose to define the basic subconcepts it has been analysed the narrative structure of texts, their compositional and stylistic features, system of characters, chronotopos, images and leitmotives. It is shown, that the basic subconcepts, which are included to the conceptual sphere of Heinrich B?ll's early works, are such subconcepts as "death", "fear", "a physical pain", "a moral suffering","cruelty" and "absurdity". As a result of the lead research it has been proved, that set forth above subconcepts in the works of the mature period of writer's creativity have been transformed into such subconcepts as "fault", "repentance", "responsibility", "refusal of the responsibility" and some other. The concept "war" itself, which was the main one for early works of Heinrich B?ll, transforms into concept "memory" in works of transitional period and finally is substituted by concept "responsibility" in the last novel.
