Soletskyy O. Valeriy Shevchuk - the researcher and the interpreter of the Ukrainian baroque literature

The dissertation studies Valeriy Shevchuk's prose in the context of traditions of the Ukrainian baroque literature, highlights the interrelations between his research and literary works that reveal his mutually complementary methods of interpretation of baroque texts. The main subject of investigation is the study of those scientific and literary texts of Valeriy Shevchuk that are most illustrative from the point of view of his methods of interpreting the baroque language and world. The basis of the dissertation research is the search for the formal and notional similarities in the texts of different time periods by way of defining the structural, semantic and semiotic analogies in the presentation of the imaginative works material and elucidating the functionality of the memory of the baroque symbol, narrative and culture in Valeryi Shevchuk's prose.
