Essay

The research presented in the thesis is devoted to peroxide lipid oxidation processes in brain tissue under adverse effects of the T-2 toxin and sodium hypochlorite. The investigation into the T-2 toxin effect on the prooxidant-antioxidant homeostasis system of nerve tissue has been conducted for the first time. It was found that the T-2 toxin acts on the membrane level, i.e. through the activation of free radical reactions and the change of enzymatic intensity of the antioxidant system. The systematic administration of the T-2 toxin causes the cell membrane structure damage. It was demonstrated that the usage of sodium hypochloride solution in the decrease of lipoperoxidation intensity as well as the increase of ferment intensity of the antioxidant protection system (APS). Sodium hypochloride helps to regenerate the structure of nerve system cells. Nerve cells become functionally active.
