Dissertation is devoted to the investigation of the cobs drying process with the use of the device for the preparation of cobs for drying by the means of dividing them into particles. The analysis of existent methods and facilities of drying of cobs and corn is done in dissertation work, defined fails and ways of their removal. The process of the convectional drying of layer of cobs particles is analyzed. The model of device is developed and investigated for cobs drying preparation by their dividing into particles. The influence of cobs particles length on duration of drying process is experimentally grounded.
