Tiupikov Y. Development of the method to prevent collisions of the vessels by the maneuver of change of speed

In the dissertation work was reviewed actual problem of method development of prevention of collision of the vessels in the congested waters by the maneuver of change of speed. The review of literature sources and analysis of the approaches on problem solution showed that questions of the optimal divergence maneuver selection by the change of speed of ship were not practically reviewed and required serious scientific investigation. The procedure of control of divergence maneuver by change of speed on the set distance of the close approach was worked out. The process of divergence of the vessels was reviewed taking into account her inertia and algorithm of calculation of optimum parameters. The basic information on worked out program of simulation of divergence of operating vessel with dangerous target of speed of change maneuver was rendered. The results of control test on measurement of transitory period for active and passive braking regimes were given. Control tests were carried out on the m/v "Patricia Delmas". In all seven tests were received seven achievements of active braking when engine runs astern at full speed. When carrying out simulation model analysis more than two hundred (211) maneuvers under different dangerous initial situations were made and for that all were selected only those situations for which the change of speed maneuver was existed.
