Novykova Y. Contemporary Central and Eastern Donetsk Region Surnames

Surnames which are spread on the territory of Central and Eastern Donetsk region. The aim is linguistic interpretation of modern Ukrainian surnames of Central and Eastern Donetsk region as specific in its historic origin and class development of onymic vocabulary. The methods are descriptive, quantitative, semantic analyses. A complex linguistic analysis of previously investigated onomastic material was carried out. The intensification and improvement of present lexico-semantic and word-forming classifications of regional surname systems. The results of the work can be employed while studing Ukrainian vocabulary, word-formation questions, in teaching special courses in onomastics. The sphere of usage is higher school.
