Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the study of physical exercises influence on age structure and metabolism of peripheral blood erythrocytes in sportsmen-runners on middle distances. Five age groups of erythrocytes are pointed in general structure of red cells. The following parameters are studied in healthy untrained persons and sportsmen of different qualification in competitive period: activity of lipoperoxidation processes, activity of antioxidant system enzymes, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, lactate dehydrogenase and its fractions, energetic potential in age groups of erythrocytes. The peculiarities of physical exercises influence on changes of total count and age structure of erythrocytes, on acid resistance are established in sportsmen of different qualification and in different phases of competitive period. It is shown that physical exercises promote the development of metabolic disorders in different age groups of erythrocytes. It is established that negative influence of physical exercises on the metabolism of erythrocytes in runners of higher qualifications is less expressed due to the prevalence of juvenile, young and mature-1 forms of cells with maximal antioxidant and energetic potential.
