The egocentrism carries out both positive and negative influence on musical development of a young musician. Positive display of cognitive egocentrism is connected to specificity of musical thinking and musical imagination. That is, with definition of one's own cognitive position. At the same time the negative role of personal egocentrism is shown in the centering of teenagers on musical activity that is caused by inability to come into contact with associates. As cognitive property egocentrism promotes: а) to the understanding of self-sufficiency and subject definiteness of pieces of music; б) to the concentration on a subject of creativity and to aspiration to the purposeful organization of activity; в) to understanding of composite characteristics of pieces of music and personal perception of music.
