Object - novels, stories, short stories which belong to the cycle "The Adventures of Erast Fandorin" as well as the texts of English literature, borrowing from which we find out in this detective series of B.Akunin. The aim is to show the character of assimilation the tradition of English classical and mass literatures in the historical mysteries of "fandorin's cycle" by B.Akunin. The methods are comparative-historical, comparative-typological and structurally functional. To identify the various forms of interaction between texts of "fandorin's cycle" and the classical English detective the technique of "literary formulas" analysis, offered by the American culturologist J.Cawelty, was also used. The basic results of work consist in definition of contact-genetic links and typological convergences of B.Akunin's detectives of "fandorin's cycle" with English classical and detective literature - works by Ch.Dickens, А.Conan Doyle, A.Christie, W.Collins, G.Chesterton concerning the subjects, system of images, plot motives; this research has allowed us to define B.Akunin's detective cycle "The Adventures of Erast Fandorin" as a complete cyclic formation, to comprehend its genre nature and its place in literary process, to trace various forms of influence of English literature on modern Russian "middle-literature". Sphere of use - educational process.
