This Thesis is dedicated to actual constitutionally legal problem of State power division, institutionalization in the Constitution and its implementation in modern Ukraine. The work contains the constitutionally legal and historically theoretical analysis of essence, content and requirements of the principle of power division, mechanism of its realization in contemporary democratic state. The author's conception is founded on the fact that the universalization of this principle doesn't detract the uniqueness of its implementation in the countries with unstable democratic state legal tradition, short-term experience of existence of state. As a result, national peculiarities have been established to implement in practice the principle of power division, and tendencies have been determined in view of its implementation during various historical periods of Ukrainian sovereignty.The contradictions have been revealed in process of constitutionally legal consolidation of existing model of state power division, new approaches to the realization thereof upon constitutionally legal principles have been proposed. Based upon the comparative analysis the peculiarities of the mechanism for power division in Ukraine, CIS and Central and Eastern Europe countries united by the period of political transformations have been researched.Main results of the dissertation research can be used in the work of the parliament, as well as in the curricular of educational establishments
