Povgorodnya O. Distribution and clinical manifestations of lambliasis in the inhabitants of the Kharkiv Region

The results of the research done showed that there is growth of invasionability population and contamination by cysts of lambliae of environment (water, soil, articles household) in the Kharkov Region in the last few years. Combination of all enumerated factors can be instrumental in the growth of invasionability of the habitants of the region and increases the risk of morbidity by the lambliasis. The importance of water-way transmission of lambliasis has been established in the region. For the exposure of lambliasis, determination of level of morbidity of population and establishment of factors of transmission of lambliasis is developed and a screening-questionnaire, which helps to select children for diagnostics of lambliasis. The results received show that the developed screening-questionnaire can be used for the early exposure of lambliasis infection in the organized child collectives. First conducted by us by IFA seroepydemyology survey of population of Kharkov Region on lambliasis exposed contradiction between the presence of the persons with antibodies to lambliae and adsence of the registered morbility by lambliasis. The conducted specific treatment with ornidazol with addition of immunomodelising remedy of cyclopheron allowed to mark the positive changes in the contents of initially changed T- and B-leukocytes subpopulations and indices of humoral immunity which testifies to activation of protective and adaptation mechanisms of organism owner.
