Hollyak V. The comparative effectiveness of the different methods of gastric banding for treatment of obesity

The object is patients with alimentary-constitutional obesity; the aim of research is to enhancing the effectiveness of surgical treatment of alimentary-constitutional obesity by designing the optimal method of gastric banding; the methods are general clinical, laboratory-diagnostic, instrumental-diagnostic, statistics; the theoretical results - a scientific rationale for a new methodological direction of surgical treatment of obesity through gastric banding developed using original bandages; practical results - developed and advanced gastric banding method, using bandages different designs, allowing significantly reduce excess weight patients. After declining body mass index, proved reducing symptoms accompanying pathology; novelty – for the first time is determined the frequency of complications dependence of the pouch volume and the diameter of gastric fistula between reservoirs, refined mechanisms for the early and late specific complications of gastric banding transplants using tape and silicon bandages; it is introduced in practice of surgical department of Odessa regional hospitals and program of training of the doctors-interns on the specialty "surgery" Odessa State Medical University; branch of science - surgery
