Essay

Dissertation is devoted to researches of wear of locomotive wheels surfaces. Theory of design of locomotive friction wheels-rails contact was gotten further development in work. The methods of increase of bracers resource are devel-oped due to the improvement of technology of wheel shape renewal. It is set that one of substantial reasons of diminishing of bracers resource is the inefficient choice of measuring methods and control of wheels wear, and also technology of grinding in the process of exploitation. It creates metrologi-cal preconditions for more frequent grindings of wheels and artificially reduces the resource of bracers. It is offered to make alterations in " Инструкция по формированию, ремонту и содержанию колесных пар тягового подвижно-го состава железных дорог Украины колеи 1520 мм " (ВНД 32.0.07.001.2001). The technological method of increase of bracers resource is developed. A method is based on the selective management by the parameters of wheels wear. A method consists in correctionof shape of comb.
