Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the study and scientific grounding of the use of mixed fodder and premixes, improved in their mineral and vitamin composition, for feeding lactating cows, under conditions of forage base of Ukraine's western forest-steppe. The thesis reveals of the influence of feeding with mentioned mixed fodders and premixes on milk productivity and quantitative and qualitative composition of microflora of cows' rumen and its metabolic and functional activity, as well as on some indicators of nitrogen and phosphorus exchange in the rumen environment. Optimum level of protein macro-, microelements and fat-soluble vitamins in composition of experimented mixed fodders and premixes for lactating cows at the area of Ukraine's western forest-steppe at feeding with hay and concentrated products are determined. They satisfy cows' need according to the norms, assist maximum growth and development of bacteria and simpler organisms of the rumen, stimulate their metabolic activity, increase digestibility nutritiоus substance of forage, increase milk productivity and quality of milk, and profitability of it's producing. The thesis proves the usefulness of using mixed fodders and premixes of the later following composition by feeding animals with haylage and concentrated products during winter stalling period at the area of Ukraine's western forest-steppe. Mixed fodder composition: barley - 13 %, forage wheat - 16,0 %, oats - 7,0 %, forage beans (extruded) - 14,0 %, pea (extruded) - 5,0%, maize - 8,0 %, wheat sittings - 8,0 %, rye (triticale) - 5,0 %, rapemeal - 10 %, grass cut (dried) - 2,0 %, molasses - 7,0 %, monocalciumphosphate - 1,0 %, table-salt - 1,0 %, Glaber's salt - 1,0 %, diammoniumphosphate -1,0 %, premix - 1,0 %. Premix composition: vitamin A (acetate retinol) - 3077 g, vitamin D (Videin) - 740 g, copper carbonate - 2019 g, zinc carbonate - 15744 g, manganese carbonate - 9358 g, cobalt carbonate - 272 g, potassium iodide - 258 g, sodium selenite - 118 g.
