The subject of the thesis is improvement of technology for rolling channels using the new scheme of roll pass design. In the present paper the experimental investigation of the metal shape change while rolling channels №№ 8П, 20П...24П was carried out. A special attention was given to the problem of the metal shape change in the pair of the last passes with curved and right flanges as well as to the possibility of securing the necessary dimensions of the shape. A new method has been developed for building and calculation of the developed roll pass design. A theoretic analysis of the energy and power as well as kinematic parameters of rolling in the developed channel passes had been carried out. The method of calculation of the energy and power parameters of rolling in the developed passes had been developed. The increase of productivity and widening of the rolled stock had been obtained in the mill 550 of the open joint-stock enterprise "Dnipropetrovs'ki Petrovski metallurgic works".
