Andreyeva T. Semantic-syntactic structure of the sentences with totive predicates

The system approach to the investigation of the category of totiveness was first used in the thesis, the structure of functional-semantic totive field, hierarchy of its components and its coordination, the totive effectiveness and the place of this phenomenon in the predicate meaning were distinguished. The totive verb composition was defined; the semantic and word-formative analyses were carried out; grammatical and functional characteristics of the totive verbs and the criteria of lexico-semantic differentiation were singled out. The peculiarities of representation of the totiveness on the lexical and word-formative levels were considered in the paper that made possible to investigate correlation of different level linguistic means (implicit and explicit factors), united with the community of semantic function. The analysis of the factual material indicates specificity of interrelationships of semantic-syntactic and grammar-formal structure of the sentences with stated predicates, their symmetric andasymmetric character. The peculiarity of the symmetric correlation is its functional monosemantic connection between the units of the structural levels of the sentence, their qualitative and quantitative conformity. Asymmetry is characterized by violation of such interlevel connection, that evidence the components with syncretic meaning, and as a result non-predicative syntaxeme loses the typical position or gets new meaning, neutralizes, reduces syntaxeme in the stated position.
