Kalashnyk I. Profound psychological roots of personality's tendency towards psychological death

The thesis focuses on exploration of profound psychological background from where the individual's tendency towards psychological death origins. The data obtained in the study show the association of this tendency with the Edipus stage of personality's development. The essence of the psychological death phenomenon was revealed, and its deep determinants elicited. Forming of tendency towards psychological death appears to relate to the traumatizing experience in childhood. This tendency is proved to be connected with psychological defense mechanism and can be considered as a form of protection of individual against traumatizing experience. It was found that forming of tendency towards psychological death results from the basal anxiety, which actualizes mortido tendency. Elucidated was correlation between the tendency towards psychological death and object relationship that manifests itself as a negativism regarding the world. The study argues that it is reasonable for future psychologist practitionerstoundergo the ASPT psycho-correction in order to relieve the tendency towards psychological death.
