Dankevich J. Fiction Prose by Geo Shkurupiy: the problems of poetics

Research object: The object of the study is the works by Geo Shkurupia and Ukrainian futurism in its formative stages. Research purpose is to determine poetic features of Geo Shkurupia’s art prose in multiple aspects of its expression. Research methods: descriptive, comparative historical, typological and hermeneutical analysis methods, and receptive aesthetics principles. Results, novelty: Geo Shkurupia’s art prose is considered in synchronic-diachronic transition for the first time. The futurism inherent worth is objectively represented in the context of the literary process of the 1920–30s. Range of usаge: Scientific researches devoted to poetic features of the art prose, compiling textbooks on Ukrainian literature of the XXth century, academic courses on Literature history, preparing undergraduate and graduate works.
