Yavir V. Social and political survey of xenophobia in Ukraine and legal devices of its prevention

The thesis is the first attempt of complex investigation of xenophobia, especially in Ukraine. The author investigates xenophobia evolution starting by biological instinct and finishing by social and political factor. The modern plural paradigm of xenophobia understanding is being analyzed. The problem of xenophobia in scientific theories and its interpretation in political and social practices are as well. The author has been pioneer to propose new political understanding of phenomenon on scientific level, especially xenophobia as non-acceptance of all kinds of alien. Following this way, the author goes outside of traditional ethnic, religious and racial understanding of xenophobia. Apart this, the role of xenophobia in modern political process has been investigated. The author has performed comparative analysis of xenophobia growing tendencies in Ukraine and world. The major part of attention has been paid to particular qualities of xenophobia in Ukraine. Historical xenophobia suppositions in Ukrainian society have been investigated, social dimension under the guise of xenophobia index, its dynamic, ways of calculation have been as well. Complex analysis of reasons that make xenophobia grow up has been performed.
