Chuprina N. The Text of the English Parody in the Aspect of Intertextuality

The object: the paper examines texts of English parodies regarded as the system that realize intertextual contacts. The objective of the research is to establish and analyze means of verbalizing intertextual contacts in the text of parody. The methods: the complex methodology, applied in the paper, includes methods of linguostylistic, structural and compositional, functional and pragmatic analysis, comparative method. The main results, novelty: among the main results of the research are the differentiation of pantextuality, textuality, contextuality and intertextuality; the difference between intertextuality and intertext as the process and the result of representation of intertextual contacts. Scientific novelty of the research is determined by the fact that it is the first time classification of language means realizing intertextual contacts has been accomplished in the text of parody. Theoretical value: the results make a contribution into the theory of text linguistics by differentiating the categories of pantextuality, textuality, contextuality and intertextuality; into the theory of intertextuality due to the complex analysis of intertextual relations in the text of parody. Practical application: the results can be used in theoretical courses of English Stylistics and Text Interpretation (topics “Theory of Tropes”, “Linguostylistic Analysis of the Belles-Lettres Text), in special courses on communication, in the sphere of text linguistics theory.
