Khamedova O. B. Antonenko-Davydovich: destiny, creation, critical reception

Research object: B. Antonenko-Davidovich’s fiction works and non-fiction works containing fiction elements.Research purpose is to give interpretation to the author’s works using the paradigm: author – character – recipient (critic, reader). Research methods: Autobiographical and synergetic approach which proposes to synthesize comparative historical, biographical, receptive and aesthetic, and psychoanalytical methods. Results, novelty: The works by B. Antonenko-Davidovich are studied in the aspect “author – character – recepient” for the first time in Ukrainian literary criticism, the peculiarity of the psychological insight, as an individual feature of the writer’s style is revealed. The field of application: Researches related to the literary process of the 20th century, compiling a textbook on modern Ukrainian literature, special courses and seminars, preparing undergraduate and graduate works.
