Usutyi A. The Development of Reading Skills of High School Students while Studying Ukrainian Literature

In the thesis it was represented the theoretically proved and experimentally tested methodic of development of reading skills of high school students while studying Ukrainian literature. The assertion that the reading skills are the integral part of text perception and comprehension, that they are based on the general intellectual and cognitive abilities enriched with the skills determined with the specificity of word art perception, is in the basis of the research. In the thesis effective methods and means of development of reading skills of high school students were offered and experimentally proved, the regularities of organization of educational process in literature, that presupposes the students activity that form the skills to think constructively, to understand the deep sense of the literary work, to conduct a "dialogue" with the author, to emotionally react at the art situations depicted by the author, were determined.
