Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the problem of students' independent work efficiency improvement in the process of nature-mathematical cycle subjects study in the engineering profile colleges. The essence of the basic notions is analysed, the functions of the independent work are defined, and its peculiarities in the engineering colleges during nature-mathematical subjects' study which influence the efficiency are singled out. The individually-typological characteristics of the students are established, their display in the academic activity is investigated. The modern scientific approaches to the independent work organization are considered, the pedagogical conditions of its differentiation in colleges are grounded. The model of engineering profile colleges' students' independent work differentiation model in the process of nature-mathematical subjects study is worked out; its effectiveness is proved experimentally. The main results of the investigation are introduced in the educational process of higher educational establishments of I-II accreditation level.
