Essay

Thesis is devoted to theoretical research of normal waves in transverse-isotropic cylindrical waveguides of circular and ring cross-sections with sector cut of an any angular measure. In one case external cylindrical boundary surfaces of waveguides of circular or ring section are free from stresses or are fixed and thin not extensible coverings without inertia are placed on rectilinear boundary surfaces of sector cut. Also boundary conditions, when all boundary surfaces are free from stresses or are fixed are considered. Dispersion functions for the basic sets of investigated normal waves are obtained in the analytical form and are presented by functional determinants of the third and sixth orders for each value of the generalized circle wave number or infinite determinants with elements, expressed through special cylindrical functions of different types. Full dispersion spectrum of normal waves with various symmetry of wave movements, cinematic and energetic characteristics of waves, asymptotic behavior of waves are designed and analyzed. Leading effects of spectrum transformation by change of sector cut angular measure and physical-mechanics characteristics of waveguides are investigated.
