Romanyuk M. Sexual function and sexual disorders in patients with prostate cancer

Dissertation work decides the actual task of urology: increasing of therapy efficiency of sexual disorders in patients with prostate cancer by the means of studying their pathogenic factors. 227 patients with prostate cancer in the age of 38 - 74 years, were included in the study. Comparative description of the state of sexual function was conducted in patients with prostate cancer and practically healthy men of the proper age category. It was proved that in patients with prostate cancer sensitivity of penis skin was authentically decreased (at 24,5% on frequency 65 Hz and at 19% on frequency 125 Hz). But these changes do not influence on the common state of sexual function by the data of international index of erectile function (IIEF) and by expanded prostate cancer index composite (EPIC), and do not change reliably the levels of penile blood flow. Also, the technology of complex rehabilitative therapy of sexual disorders in patients with prostate cancer after radical prostatectomy or getting hormonaltherapy was developed.
