The dissertation is dedicated to the conceptual bases of foundation of civil society and to the specification and sense of definition "civic organizations". The author elucidated the specificity of origin, development and functioning of civic organizations in the context of their influence on the civil society's formation. It's emphasized the models of functioning and the ways of influence of civic organizations on the public policy. The author generalized the sense, principles and conditions of establishing of civic organizations in modern Ukraine. It's shown the specific of activity and co-operation of civic organizations with the state in the context of the civil society's formation in modern Ukraine.
