The object is patients after gastrectomy; the aim is the improvement of quality and duration of life in patients after gastrectomy by development and introduction of new methods of digestive tract reconstruction after gastrectomy into clinical practice; the methods are the clinical examination of patients, laboratory investigation, instrumental examination, statistical methods; the new approach lies in the scientific substantiation of choice of digestive tract reconstruction method after gastrectomy with the purpose of direct, remote results of treatment and quality of life improvement; the main results are the elaboration of new methods of digestive tract reconstruction, substantiation of statements to their application; the implementation of results – in activity of surgical departments of oncology and general surgery categories; the field is surgery.
