Rosul M. Complex surgical treatment and prevention of festering-necrotic complications in patients with diabetic foot syndrome

The investigation of clinical-metabolic indices in patients with diabetic foot syndrome with different levels of destructive process in the foot has been conducted. Considerable violations of lipid metabolism and activation of the process of lipid peroxidation with the exhaustion of endogenous of antioxidant protection in patients with diabetic foot syndrome, changes of vascular-thrombocyte hemostasis in patients depending on the level of the destructive process in the foot have been revealed. Ozonotherapy application together with complex of patients with diabetic foot syndrome has been studied and validated. High effectiveness of the joint systemic and local applications of ozone in complex treatment of patients with diabetic foot syndrome has been proved, which was demonstrated by the improvement of the clinical-metabolic indices, the acceleration of the wound phase transition, the decrease of the general number of surgical intrusions as well as amputations of the lower limbs, the necessity of repetitive surgeries and the increase of the average hospital term of patients with diabetic foot syndrome treatment. Complex therapy especially at the initial stage of diabetic foot syndrome aiming at preventing the growing destructive process in the foot and festering-necrotic affection of the lower limbs has been suggested.
