Essay

In the dissertation the social substance of the public relations (PR) is analyzed, methodological approaches towards research of the PR as the social institute in the information society era are studied, specifics of the PR activities in the banking sector are considered. With the support of the empirical research (public opinion poll and expert survey both conducted in Kyiv) the basic principles of PR functioning in Ukraine are determined as well as criteria of its effectiveness. The factors of PR in banks transition from asymmetric to two-way communications with balanced reflection of social corporate responsibility are defined.
