Kozachenko I. Peculiarities of growing own-rooted green stem cuttings of elder in the conditions of the Right-Bank Forest Steppe Zone of Ukraine

The object of research - regularity of the display of the peculiarities of own-root propagation of seven forms of alba. The purpose of research - to increase the cultivation of planting material of garden forms of alba by means of propagation with green stem cuttings in the conditions of Right-Bank Forest Steppe Zone of Ukraine. The methods of research - field, laboratory, laboratory-field, mathematic-statistic, economic-expeced. Theoretical and practical results - farm practices, used to grow planting material of alba based on studying the propagation with help of green stems, were improved. Scientific novelty - it is for the first time that anatomic-morphological peculiarities of root formation in green stem cuttings of alba were studied. The correlation among the following factors was identified: own-root propagation and variety peculiarities, extent of stem lignification, its type and merism, term of storing up and planting of stems, the effect of optimal con centrations of biological-active substances. The terms and methods of extended growing of rooted cuttings were determined. Extent of the introduction - in the teaching process of Uman state agrarian university, Uman state pedagogical university, nurseries, nurseries of the National dendrological park "Sofiyvka" - Research Institute of Ukraine's NAS, Uman state forestry and enterprise "Umanzelenhosp". The sphere of application - commercial gardening, agrarian educational institutions.
