By means of patients exposure with the help of standard criteria of post operation infections determination the morbidity of surgical site infection frequency is determined, which in comparison with hospital diagnosis of doctors surpassed in 11 times. The principal pathogens of surgical site infection are determined among which there are: Staphylococcus aureus -37,7 %, S.epidermidis -9,9 %, Enterococcus spp. - 8,1 %, Escherichia coli - 8,8 %, Enterobacter spp. - 8,5 %, Acinetobacter spp.- 7,7 %, Pseudomonas aeruginosa- 7,4 %. Proteus spp.- 4,7 %. The next risk factors are determined which influence the intensity of surgical site infection epidemic process: the patient state, preoperative, operative, postoperative, internal environment factors of hospital. On the base of received datathe scientific-valid conceptual model of epidemic supervision for surgical site infection is elaborated in Ukraine. According to this system the epidemic supervision for surgical site infection consists of three interrelated functional subsystem: informational, diagnostic and administrative. The same work at hospital level is carried out by the hospital epidemiologist on the base of epidemiological observations data after patients and active exposure of surgical site infection patients with the use of the standard criteria of infection determination revelation. The proposed system of epidemic supervision for surgical site infection is based on microbiological, epidemiological and clinical researches data. The reliable diagnosis and the registration of all possible forms of surgical site infection in patients, the monitoring of dominating species of opportunic microorganisms which exude from patients, staff and objects of hospital surroundings are assumed as a basis.
