Zgurska V. A concept of the nation and the state by Volodymyr Starosolskyi

The work makes an attempt to incorporate a theoretical heritage of Volodymyr Starosolskyi, a prominent Ukrainian scientist for the first time in Political Sciences. On the basis of his works "Theory of nation", "State and political law" etc., there was created a concept analysis of his views on the essence of the nation and national state, their attributes, forms, functions and future in the context of democratic interstate relations. It describes an original concept by the scientist as to the governmental , particularly, federal structure and its criteria, nationalization of the state, autonomisation of citizens' communities; forms of decentralization of power, kind of autonomies and civic society institutions.
