Kuranov Y. Choice of treatment tactic at penile cancer.

The Ph.D. thesis is devoted to the question of prognosis of clinical course and choice of treatment tactics of penile cancer by researching of forecasting factors. Duration of anamnesis, tumour's size, form of growth, extent of anaplasia tumour, presence of metastases in regional lymphatic nodes were examined. The original evaluation scale of penile cancer forecasting factors was developed and implemented. Choice of individual tactics of treatment (organ- preserving or organ-removinsurgery, volume and timing for lymphadenectomy depends on the forecasting factors, which are determined on the basis of complex clinicopathologic examination. At early stages of disease (T1-2N0M0) the method of choice is an organ-preserving tactics which does not influence a treatment efficacy and does not worsen a prognosis. It is well-proven that for patients with high risk of metastasis in regional lymphatic nodes simultaneously with the radical ablation of a primary hearth it is necessary to execute bilateral inguinofemoral lymphadenoctomy. The effective method of treatment of penile cancer is the combined and complex treatment, which includes surgical interference, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The standards of treatment of patients are designed and implemented for different stages of penile cancer.
