Thesis highlights political socialization under conditions of ukrainian society's transformations. On the ground of analysis of political socialization of young people are revealed typical characteristics, basic conceptual methods of investigation of political socialization on the grounds of scientific researches of native and foreign scientists. Government policy in the process of political socialization of ukrainian youth is highlighted and peculiarities of influence of social and political factors on political socialization of youth are concerned. The role of mass media in the processes of political socialization of youth under conditions of ukrainian society's transformations. It was researched political socialization in the context of classification of youth unions.
