Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the problem of enhancement of cryopreservation efficiency of human erythrocytes and yeast S. cerevisiae by the increase of potency of cell recovery after cryopreservation. It was shown experimentally, that use of ozone under low concentrations contributed to a rise of cryopreservation efficiency of human erythrocytes and yeast S. cerevisiae, by increasing the erythrocytes' osmotic resistance, recovering hemoglobin conformational stability and elevating the yeast viability after freeze-thawing. Optimal procedures of ozone treatment of erythrocytes and yeast for the increase of efficiency of their recovery after cryopreservation are: washing-out of the erythrocytes from cryoprotectant with ozonated physiological saline, containing 0.2 mgО3/L, and introduction of ozone under concentration of 0.09 mgО3/L in yeast suspension after cryopreservation (ozone dose of 1.5x10-12 mgО3/cell). Stimulating ozone effect on the erythrocytes and yeast after cryopreservation can be explained bymodification of cytoplasm membranes of erythrocytes and activation of defense mechanisms of the yeast cells in response to the effect of slight stress factor (ozone).
