The object – training process in a pedagogical university; the prove theoretically and to check experimentally the model of forming the informational-technological competency of a future teacher in the process of his training in a pedagogical university; the methods – theoretical, empiric, statistic; the novelty – the essence of the informational-technological competency of a future teacher is theoretically proved; its components are determined; the model of forming the informational-technological competency of a future teacher in the academic process of a pedagogical university is theoretically proved and experimentally affirmed; criteria and parameters of levels of its firmness’ are specified; theoretical issues of the competency approach to the preparation of a modern teacher nave received farther development; the results – the complex of the didactical and methodical means for providing of the developed model in to practice for the future teacher preparation.
