The genre of the Ukrainian literary poetic fairy tale of 10-30-th of the XIX century is analyzed as systematic and integral aesthetic phenomenon. The theoretical basis of the research is the literary fairy tales' genre's matrix, which was formed on the folk fairy tales' foundation. Key words: literary tales, folk tale, pretext, interaction, author's outlook, harmonic balance.
