Essay

The thesis is dedicated to comparative analysis of political opposition activities in Ukraine and Republic of Poland. The thesis structures the main ways to the definition of political opposition and gives criteria to classify the political force as political opposition. The author proposes the comparative analysis of Ukrainian and Polish legislation of political opposition activity and formulates the main directions of optimizing the national legislation in this field. The thesis compares the activity of the Ukrainian and the Polish extraparliamentary oppositions, defines main trends in the functioning of parliament majority and parliament opposition in Ukraine and Poland. The special attention in the work is given to mutual relations between authority and political opposition in the context of transformation processes in the Ukrainian and the Polish societies. The author recommends the complex of measure to make interaction between political opposition and civil society more effective.
