The research deals with the problem of the content and methodology of computer science in future labour training teacher preparation. The history and contemporary state of information processes in education are investigated. The usage of information technologies in labour training teacher professional activity is studied. The specification of knowledge and skills necessary for future teacher of labour training is made. To define the content of "Computer Science" course didactic and specific principles, professiographic approach and method of expert assessment are used. The main methodic approaches to the course teaching are described. The assessment criteria of knowledge and skills in computer science are defined and the preparedness levels of future labour training teacher to use information technologies are revised. The model of formation of labour training teacher information competency is specified. The availability of the developed programme in computer science is checked and the effectiveness ofthe proposed methodology is examined.
