Essay

The thesis covers the problems of using benchmarking for improvement of enterprises activity on dairy market. The author explains the essence and evolution of the term "benchmarking", its principles and methods, interrelation with another improvement instruments; shows the structure of benchmarking process. The author has analyzed the conjuncture of the Ukrainian dairy market; has conducted the benchmarking estimation of chosen enterprises; has determined the main tendencies of the world dairy market development; has shown the experience of Poland in dairy sector reforming. Technical approaches to benchmarking realization have been improved; the usage of DEA-model and the method of competitiveness radar building have been suggested. The conceptual model of benchmarking process organization on dairy enterprises has been elaborated. Strategic directions of dairy enterprises subsequent development have been determined and grounded. The usage of integrated systems of quality and safety of dairy products with benchmarking as the essential element has been proposed.
