Object: scientific elite reproduction in conditions of contemporary Ukrainian society; The goal: conceptualization of social mechanism of scientific elite reproduction; The research methods: logic generalization, analysis, syntheses, analogy, comparative analysis, typology, survey; Theoretical and practical results: conceptualization of social mechanism of our country scientific elite reproduction; theoretical interpretation of concepts "scientific elite reproduction", "social mechanism of scientific elite reproduction", "scientific elite" is realized; differentiation of concepts "scientific elite" and "intellectual elite" is carried out; theoretical concepts of intellectual migration's influence on social mechanism's functioning of scientific elite reproduction; Novelty: problem of sociology of elite on working out and substantiation of conception of social mechanism's functioning scientific elite reproduction in contemporary Ukraine, which is grounded on status-value approach to scientific elite study is solved; The level of implementation: results of dissertation are used in practical activities of Kharkiv region higher school institutions and for development and improvement of teaching practice of "Sociology" for Kharkiv National University of Radio-Electronics.
