Essay

The thesis covers studying of functional properties of suspension cells, fragments, normo- and hypotermic organ culture of newborn piglet's adrenal glands at cryopreservation and following recultivation. It was shown that the adrenal gland fragments and organ culture were more resistant to effect of cryopreservation, comparing to cell suspension of adrenocortical cells, and as result, had both basal and stimulated steriodogenesis. This resulted in the designing of cryopreservation protocol for organ culture of newborn piglet's adrenal glands. In experiments in vivo there was shown that maximal compensatory effect on 30 day after adrenalectomy was achieved with xenograft of fragments cryopreserved with cooling rate 1°C/min and then recultured at 24°C and also xenograft of 5 day organ culture cryopreserved with cooling rate 100°C/min and then recultured at 37°C.
