Essay

The thesis is devoted to the analysis of Indo-Chinese relations in the security field after the Cold War. Considering the "rising status" of India and China, special features of their foreign policy towards one another and dynamics of their relations' development at the bilateral and regional level were specified. It is proved that transformation of India into the international status power is one of Delhi's key strategic tasks. That's why any China's actions that can be regarded by India as contradicting its converting into the global power are perceived by India as the threat to its national security. Different kinds of "rising power management" policy are shown to be used by both India and China.
