The novellas of V.Stefanik and the genre in the Ukrainian small prose of the end of the ХІХ-th - beginning of the ХХ-th century.The aim is to intestigate the tendencies of dramatization and lirization of epic texts of V.Stefanik. The methods are stucturally-semiotical, naratological,historically-literary,typological. For the first time V.Stefanik,s works are considered in the terms of kind-genre dymamics on the base of discovering the tendencies of dramatization and lirization of expression.
