Kozina S. Immune and metabolic disorders in 2-5-year old children ill with pneumonia, and their correction with antioxidant

The thesis is devoted to the clearance of actual task of modern medical science - to work up the pathogenetically based treatment of acute segmental one-sided community-acquired pneumonia in 2-5-year old children with usage of antioxidant preparation 'Three-Vi-Plus'. It is shown that additional usage of 'Three-Vi-Plus' helps to decrease the cytogenetic disturbances in peripheral blood lymphocytes. The influence of 'Three-Vi-Plus' results in increase of total T, T helper, B cell and natural killers counts in peripheral blood; in decrease of hypersuppressive variant of immunodeficiency expressiveness, in increase of phagocytic activity of neutrophils and monocytes. Usage of 'Three-Vi-Plus' inhibits excessive production of circulating immune complexes, helps to improve their fractional content, stimulates the synthesis of main immunoregulatory classes immunoglobulins, decreases the cytokines' production, increases the interferon production. Application of 'Three-Vi-Plus' helps to inhibit lipid peroxidation processes and to optimize the enzymatic system of antioxidant defense, improves the balance of eicosanoids. The maximal positive effect from the 'Three-Vi-Plus' application is registered at the mild clinical course of pneumonia, the minimal one - at severe course.
