Alexandrova H. The poetics of V. Budzyovskyj's art prose

The object is the works of the collection "Story" (1897)by V.Budzinovskij and his historical stories. The purpose is the complex analitiko-synthetic understanding of poetic of stories and historical stories by V.Budzinovskij, specificity of artistic realisation of historical concepts of the author there, the place of his epics in the development of the Ukrainian historical fiction. The methods are cultural and comparative-historical, complex. This work is the first attempt of special studying of an art reserve of V.Budzinovskij which still not enough known in Ukraine. It is scientifically proved style syncretism (romanticism, realism, impressionism, neo-romanticism) of an epic of the artist. Thus the attention is accented on genre-thematic and subject-composite originality of V.Budzinovskij creativity, the organization of art cronotop, skill of creation of characters which in the scientific investigations devoted to prose of the writer, yet has not found sufficient illumination. His works are comprehended in a context of modern scientific approaches, taking into account communication of traditions of the previous stage development of the literature and trends of the newest modernist writing. It has assisted to more expressive delineation of the original creative individuality of V.Budzinovskij, research entered in the literary use some not analyzed products of the artist.
