Shakespeare's plays in Germany in the second half of XVIII and the first half of XIX centuries. The aim is to define the preconditions of Shakespeare constanta in German culture and the mechanisms of pre-Romantic and Romantic Shakespeare discourse structuring as well as its constituents. The methods are literary-historical, discourse analyses, receptive aesthetics, theory of intertextuality. The definition of German Shakespeare discourse is given, its vision in the epoch of pre-Romanticism and Romanticism is structured. Three levels of the discourse (reproductive, productive and analytical) are analyzed. The principal constituents of German Shakespeare discourse in the second half of XVIII and the first half of XIX centuries.(Shakespearization, German Hamletism, myth about Shakespeare, demythologization) are discovered. It is for the first time that the process of German Shakespeare discourse institutionalizing has been enlighten and some unknown works by Lenz and Tieck have been studied. The analysisof Shakespeare substrate in German literature made in the thesis is enlarging the general vision of pre-Romantic and Romantic poetics. The applications sphere is the training courses.
