The thesis is devoted questions of the forecast of a roof fall of unhandy roofs in longwalls of flat seams of Donbass. In which new solution of an actual scientific problem is offered: a substantiation of parametres of a roof fall of a difficult-to-control roof in longwall of flat seams of Donbass which consists in creation of a settlement method of definition of a step of a fundamental caving and criterion of character of a roof fall of soils.
