Fedoryshcheva V. Comparative analysis of normal skulls and skulls with artificial deformations from archaeological excavations of Upper Saltov, Lower Don, Chersoneses, Tepe-Kermen

The investigation object: human skulls from archaeological excavations of Lower Don, Upper Saltov, Tepe-Kermen and Chersoneses. The investigation goal: establishment of morphometrical features of skulls from archaeological excavations of Lower Don, Upper Saltov, Tepe-Kermen and Chersoneses. Methods of research: craniometric and roentgenometric - for establishment of skull features depending on a sex and habitat, mathematical, - for statistical analysis of the data. The theoretical and practical importance of the received results: theoretical positions, developed in dissertation, is expedient to use in an educational process on the morphological departments of Ukraine medical institutes. The value of scale factor can be used for measuring of linear craniometrical indexes on the craniograms. The received results of research are complemented by our presentations about modern craniology and can be used for reading of lectures and practice on morphological, dental, neurosurgery departments, judicial medicine. The scientific novelty of the investigation results: for the first time the linear and angular indexes of human skull were set using of X-ray films.The morphometrical features of normal and deformed skulls from archaeological excavations were set depending on a sex and habitat. The identity of normal skulls from Chersoneses and «spelaean city» Tepe-Kermen was shown. The degree of implementation: the results of the research are implemented in the teaching process at the department of general and clinical pathology of medical faculty, historical faculty of the Kharkov National University named by V.N. Karazin, at the department of human anatomy and department of judicial medicine and bases of right of the Kharkov National Medical University, at the department of normal anatomy of the Crimean State Medical University named by S.I. Georgievskij, the value of scale factor is implemented in the roentgenologic department of state policlinic № 6 (Kharkov).
