The dissertation work is the theoretical and experimental research of the problem of forming intellectual skills of the senior pupils in the process of studing subjects language-literature cycle. Didactic model of the forming intellectual skills has been worked up and scientifically substantiated. It was made the scientifical analysis of the subjects of language-literature cycle and their influence on the forming intellectual skills of the senior pupils. The structures, the features, the levels of the forming intellectual skills were determinated. It was made the diagnostic method. The functional model of the process of forming intellectual skills has been proved. It has been proved the scientific methodical providing which was effectively realized on the base of the optional course "The forming intellectual skills during studing the subjects of language-literature cycle".
